Settings are encrypted in this browser with a key derived from the pairing code. The server only stores ciphertext.

Start the pairing on the TV (Settings → Web Configurator), type the code shown there, press Join, then compare the two short codes and press OK on the TV. The TV applies the settings only after you press Apply.
